That's right, it's the birthday of our lord and benefactor, Gabe Newell! Long may he reign, with his HL3-less ways. Oh, and it's also sort of mine. That makes me 21 now, and I'd like to stop there. I don't really have any plans though so I'll just prat about online like I always do.
But who gives a freak, when everyone* and their mother likes this game right now :v *"Everyone" in this case being defined as consisting of the incredible but uncounted number people who have played it
So yippee, Bionicle's back, my landlord will never see rent money, and my grades are bound to divebomb into a McDonald's deep fat fryer. But how long will it last? HOW LONG? That's why I'm staying on top of things with Bring Back Bionicle 2017 because you can never be too careful.
The ninth and final Skulduggery Pleasant book was released today, and with it came both the silver cover edition and my quest to Waterstones for the limited edition, 1 of 1000 black edition. It was actually kind of sad as I took it to the counter. There ends yet another era, a favourite series of mine since the first installment back in 2007. Not really that long ago when you think about it, I guess, but it still remains one of my biggest influences and inspirations. Of course it isn't actually
I think my motivation to write is directly related to the proximity of a new series of Doctor Who. Expect a new story soon, one that I hope will both be finished and...y'know, read. After I finished Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright, of course. Can't say if it's that great so far but it's convinced me to get more Professor Layton games.
So I spent most of the build up to E3 laughing at those who posted "leaked" schedules of each presentation because it's obviously official if it's a photo of a piece of paper with some blurry and hard to discern matter of interest being viewed at an angle. But screw that because I really want to believe that this is happening. Maybe my dreams are coming true...
So as the Steam sales rampage on to their last couple of days, I took the time to check just what I've tricked myself into justifying as a totally legitimate expenditure. We have: UnEpic Devil May Cry 4 Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance The Wolf Among Us Slender: The Arrival Castle Crashers Battleblock Theatre Borderlands 2 Brutal Legend Euro Truck Simulator 2 (Was gifted to me) Far Cry 3 Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Metro: Last Light Saints Row Franchise Pack (With 2, 3 and 4) Long Live the Queen The
So I had a dream last night. I flicked on the TV and the screen was illuminated with a sight familiar to anyone on this site. Makuta trapped in the Toa seal, only of a higher quality CG. Seconds later he had broken free and said some crazy yet awe-inspiring line to himself before flying off into the distance. It was the same voice actor, Lee Tockar, only better because he spoke faster without all that old wheezing. It turned out that I was watching a commercial for a brand new Bionicle TV series
So because I haven't been in the habit of posting lately, I never noticed that I now have a brand new spinny to commemorate seven years of being here. It's an Ignika. I remember when having a Vahi filled me with glee. I remember back when MSN was a thing, and I used to love hearing those alert noises while browsing the forums and listening to music that now only makes me feel nostalgia. Once upon a time sure was a long time ago.
Alright BZPower, let's put your music tastes to the test. I've been enjoying these two tracks a tad too much lately, so I've found myself in a position where, like an addict, I require more. Bassoon is obligatory, and the hollow, desolate atmosphere of age and decay is preferred. Unfortunately searching up "bassoon sombre" and other related synonyms doesn't bring up the results I'd want, so now I turn to you in the hopes you can bring me good luck. I will pay you in subtle nods of appreciation.
Rewatching the original Bionicle movie trilogy. And boy, was that a fun trip down nostalgia avenue. Legends of Metru Nui still stands high as the best of the three, in my opinion, though they were all pretty fun in their own right. I didn't bother with The Legend Reborn though because, let's be honest, it wasn't that great.
It makes me want to break things, but nicely. It gets pretty crushing to see three hours of progress condensed into forty minutes of someone's let's play but hey, baby steps and all that. At times I feel proud of my work. At others I am biting my desk.
So today I went out into the city to go get some bread and some pepsi. I ended up coming back with a place to stay for nine months starting in September, and a brand new phone. And I forgot the bread. And above all, now I need to figure out what the point of a Samsung Galaxy Gear is. It came free with the cheapest offer and at the moment it just seems to be a digital watch that makes me feel like a spy with that camera mounted on the wrist.
So my phone has decided that this world is too cruel for it to deal with anymore and has henceforth decided to quit this mortal coil. I might have respected its decision in another time, had I not found out just how much my life now depends on it. I no longer have any way of telling the time, I have no way of drowning people out on the bus, I can't surf the internet on the go anymore and I have no way of getting in contact with my friends in the ever so unlikely incident of me getting on the wro
Not even gonna bother trying to figure out what's going on. Just another weird fad, I guess. Also finally finished Dual Destinies. Given I didn't have that much motivation to finish it, it's not the best in the series, but it was fairly satisfying. Now I would wait for March for another dose of Phoenix Wright but I've already pre-ordered Dark Souls II...
You had no right to be THAT awesome. Or feelsy. I need to go see it a second time, because I'm just so blown away by what I saw. Like, omg. Though I do wish some parents would be able to control their kids so they don't babble through all the emotional scenes, or decide they're bored and climb over all the seats. But hey, my fault for going early afternoon Friday during half-term.
