So, yesterday I was messing around with trying to update my Android phone. Needless to say it didn't take the update. And after about 6-8 hours I managed to update it to better than it was. But.... a lot of the data I had and texts are kinda gone. So that kinda sucks.
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be...
So, hey uh... guys. I have a secret to tell you. Although it won't be a secret now. I've never actually beaten Super Mario Bros. Well... until about two days ago. You know, when I did finally beat it. I know, I probably lost some serious gamer cred. But, yay I finally beat it?
Sadly, today it has been announced that Nintendo Power will be shuttering its doors. It might continue on as a digital magazine, but sadly things look grim. This is pretty sad to me as I grew up with Nintendo Power and I personally will be sad to see it go. To me, even though we live in the digital age, there is nothing like flipping the pages of a magazine. The feel of the paper is fabulous and fantastic. Update 11:30 AM EST 8/22/12: A statement provided by Nintendo reads:
So, I preordered Hyrule Historia. For the low price of $20.99 from Amazon. The awesome thing is it is at the top of the Amazon bestsellers list. I can't wait for this to arrive!
So, I got an email from Kickstarter for the Cucumber Quest book that I backed. MAN I CAN'T WAIT! It looks fabulous. I'll be getting the paper back version, it is the one on the left. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
So, the Mars Curiosity rover will be entering the atmosphere of Mars soon and hopefully landing successfully. This is an awesome moment and you can check it out here. Update: Curiosity has landed safely and sent back a few new images of Mars!
After listening to the BZPowercast yesterday it got me to thinking about how much BZPower has shaped my own life. I've met some of my best friends on BZPower. That started all from our love of video games. Then I ended up becoming staff. And I made even more friends. Those connections I made with people are some of the greatest things in the world. The people around us do help to shape who we are and how we interact with others. They gave me help when I needed it and courage to move on so many
So, I saw The Dark Knight Rises today. It was pretty awesome and a great finish to the trilogy. I don't think it topped the awesomeness of The Dark Knight though, but it was still pretty great. And, it definitely couldn't compete with The Avengers this year. Still it was a great movie and I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
What is this? A fair of bricks? Unfortunately due to issues I sadly will not be attending this year. But hey, there is always New York Comic-Con. That we will be attending as we paid for the four day passes before the issues took place.
