Few things make me as sad as seeing someone - especially someone who's pretty smart and well-thought normally - willingly spreading information that's blatantly fake only because it echoes their bias. It's like, you're better than this. Don't do this, you have to know this isn't true. Don't lower yourself to willingly lying just to make a point.
Is it a bad thing that I have a fascination with art created by artists who, for one reason or another, are dying or will, be it because of illness or anything else, be dead soon and know it? There's something about the way the mind deals with that unspeakable fear and the way it can completely change the style of the artist that fascinates me in a disturbingly morbid fashion.
It always amuses me when I find someone I know on another website, but I have a different name on there than on the website I met them on, so they can't connect the dots and figure out it's me. The best part is when they recognize things I do and know I'm someone they know, but can't figure out who, or they say I remind them of me.
Nothing has gotten me into more trouble in discussions than jumping to conclusions. Please, wait until you have solid evidence to say someone is doing/saying/etc. X, and just stick to conjecture and theoretical statements until you get the aforementioned proof. I speak from experience when I say nothing will blow up in your face and leave it covered in egg faster than jumping to a conclusion that ends up false.
