Hmm. Personally, I would've made the top image the same size as the others. It looks sort of out-of-place being like twice as big. Plus it leaves a somewhat annoying empty space beneath the blog name.

 

Aside from that's it's pretty good; I particularly like the red design in the background.

Make the blog links red with the same pattern and it will look very cool.
