Like Animated Movies?

Who here like animated movies? Whether 2D, 3D, claymation, stopmotion, or whatever? If so, post about it here. Like favorite company, movies, themes, genres, and stuff.

I see Pixar taking the most names here... :P

Personally, I love Pixar. All of Pixar's work is excellent IMHO. How To Train Your Dragon and Megamind are also good, by far the best releases from Dreamworks. I haven't seen Tangled but it looks interesting too. Personally not a big fan of the 2D animations, but Disney's classics are always fun.

Pixar and Dreamworks are great, but you cannot call yourself a fan of animation without having seen these masterpieces:

The Iron Giant

Titan A.E.

9 (Both the feature film and the original short)

Titan AE? What's that?

I have probably heard of it, not sure if I've seen it. I'm also trying to convince my family to watch 9. They don't think it looks good... <.<

9 is simply, wonderful. It leaves you wanting more, but getting none. There's no organized fandom, little merch for it. It just leaves you feeling blissfully empty.

Hayao Miyazaki's anime films are simply wonderful. Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro are my faves.

Yeah, Miyazaki's the best. So far I've seen Castle In The Sky, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, and... I dunno, I may be missing some others. Although I certainly plan on watching his others, i.e. Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa in the Vally of the Wind, Whispers of the Heart, etc.

Shadonix, Whispers of the Heart and The Cat Returns go hand in hand.

Nausicaa is wonderful, and I greatly recommend it.

It's amazing how so few people know about Titan A.E. I was about 6 years old when that came out, but I can still remember a good part of it.

The only motion picture company that has yet to let me down thus far is Pixar. I've watched every single film they ever released, and have yet to miss one.

For 2-D movies, I love the good majority of the old Disney cartoons (I grew up on them, in fact) and love Hayao Miyazaki's works. I have quite few; and for Castle in the Sky and KiKi's Delivery Service, I also have the Taiwanese/Chinese dubs (we had those first, actually...).

@Shad: Princess Mononoke is awesome. I loved it so much, in fact, that I watched it way too many times... :P

Oh yeah, Porco Rosso is also pretty good.

Oh, yeah. Anyone here like Wallace and Gromit? =3

Yeah, I know, I'm so pathetic, I hand-drew my first blog approval. XP
