Sub W I P Part 5
Not much to say. I got all the parts orders in, so any changes to be made are pending on my paychecks coming in... and I need to start working before that can happen.
A few things I would like to change...
1: Raise the middle up a brick. I'm thinking about adding some 33 degree blue slopes to raise up the top of the sub. But that would mean I'd have to buy the slopes, since my currently collection has run out of them. This would give it a better rounded feel, whereas now it seems kinda flat-topped.
2: The orange HF armor is a placeholder until I can get my hands on some blue elements.
3: More blue octagonal bricks to color up the tubing on the bottom. I would like to do more, but those pieces are expensive, so... Additionally, maybe find some better cone pieces. I might have some in my collection, but it'll be a pain to search for a pair, and I'm just not feeling up to it right now.
The next step is to get some decent, detailed pictures of my two subs, the crew, and mini subs. This will probably require some time and potentially a new picture area. School ends in a couple of weeks, so I'll probably get started by then.
Also, I am still fathoming the idea of creating subs for other Aquazone themes, such as Hydronauts, Stingrays, and maybe even Atlantis. One idea is for the original green and black (and trans lime green) Aqua Raiders 1. I can see a non-streamline sub with construction equipment, like cranes and shovels, attached to the sides. Additionally, I think it would be awesome if it had some conveyor belt that ran down the length of the sub, transporting crystals collected at one end to a storage unit on the other end. However, this idea sounds complex, would require some design work and specialized pieces, and would likely cost a ton. (Plus, I've never actually build a conveyor belt before, and totally lack the pieces for one) So, for now, this is just a cool idea... although I know that is what I said about my original sub project.
