Generally, making the name of the entry related to My Little Pony gets people to read my entries.

@Ddude Reading is not the problem. You can have people reading your entries all day long, but commenting is a different story. The same thing applies to everything on BZP.

 

Anyway, I find it strange that more people don't comment here; you have exactly 42 people who follow your blog. 42 is the best number! Why does your blog hold the best number if people don't comment that much on it?

Well, as for mine, no one reads the few boring entries I bothered to put on my blog, and I rarely have any reason to put any more up either.

 

In general (and for your blog, too), though, I have no idea. I'm an almost entirely erratic commenter on blogs, so I don't have personal experience of what makes entries interesting...

 

But it certainly doesn't help that the forum software change messed up pretty much everything. In fact, I only STARTED getting notification of your blog after the switch... and, come to think of it, I may be missing other blog posts from other people now.

Some people just read blogs and don't bother to comment all the time. I have a habit of doing that, unfortunately.

Yes, ponies are a good conversation starter. But I had this problem aswell until recently. I didn't think you would though 'cause you're kinda' a super popular member... strange. Now for some reason I can get around 4-6 comments per entry, and I don't really know why.

And I know exactly what you mean, though I've found luck in getting comments via Half Life. =P

@Overlord: Really? I don't get any blog notifications. :angry: And the old software showed the followed blogs first, so it was always easy to spot when there were new entries. Ah well. *sigh*

 

@Vartemp: But sadly, when enough people do that, it can be super-disencouraging...

It was literally luck. xD You have a point about it being because everyone has a blog; I think maybe the time also plays a part(I did most of the blogging that got me comments at like 11 PM, and I was top of the entries for like 2 hours before someone else posted. xD)...

 

Luck plays a big part though, at least for me. I can have like 8 comments on an entry, and then go like 5 entries without a comment(That's literally happened to me before. =P). I wouldn't get too discouraged though, especially since, as you mention, everyone has a blog right now, with no end in sight. =P

 

/EDIT: Also, as for notifications, if you had a followed blog from the old forum, you'll need to go back and re-follow them(Unfollow and follow them again) in order to receive notifications... I should know; I had to do that with pretty much all the blogs I followed.

@Taka Nuvia, yeah, it's incredibly weird. Mine is the only case I know of... before the switch, I barely got any blog notifications. Something's weird, in any case, with the switchover.
