I went to see the rerelease of Titanic, and I can say one thing:

 

The 3D did nothing.

 

Yes, the $18,000,000 that James Cameron spent on the 3D was not worth anything in the slightest. I hope he makes back that money, because if not...I'll leave it at that.

The draw of the film is less the 3D and more the experience of seeing Titanic in theaters again, IMO. Being such beloved film, it's guaranteed to make money; all Cameron needed was an excuse to get it back on the big screen.
