While steampunk is amazing, yes, I fail to see how that relates to the absolutely beautiful pocketwatch.

At first I thought it had something to do with Lovecraft, given how Cthulhu was lurking in the background there. :P

But that is quite the gorgeous pocket watch. I'm in need of buying one soon, though I have my eyes on another for about £60.

@Xae: It was actually marketed as a steampunk watch, but I suppose it's closer to certain Victorian watch designs.

Which is pretty much what steampunk is based upon, I guess? I don't really know.

And whoa where did all you people come from. But uh yeah, I decided the Necronomicon was a fitting background, lol.

Yeah, that's Victorian.

Steampunk is just a money-making word, nowadays. Everyone uses it, because it sells, regardless of how Steampunk something actually is.

Let's take your watch, for example. It's Victorian, maaaaybe clockpunk if we're feeling generous, because that's what it is: clockwork. If it were steampunk, it'd need more than what it is right now. Tiny boilers and tubing, maybe, and in a way that makes it look like they're functional.

"Just glue some gears on it, and call it Steampunk

That's the trendy fashion nowadays

A copper-plated chunk of some 1980's junk

Will fetch you a pretty penny on eBay"

Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, cool watch bro. =)
