Mentally Worked Out

So, yesterday was the graduation/promotion night for my homeschool group, although no one was graduating this year. It seems that I'm getting into a pattern: everytime I'm down at the church where we holds the graduation and a few other events, I find myself in intense religious discussion/debate with a friend. Comes from being the only Catholic in a Protestant group, I suppose. This time, however, my dad got into religious debate with three of the dads as well. In our defense, we didn't initiate said debates: the dads had been meaning to talk religion since last year, and my friend keeps bringing up religion, not me.

To make a long story short, I got bored and started listening to the debate my dad was in. And before you knew it, I had pretty much supplanted my dad in the debate. Needless to say, we were probably the last peopple to leave. In terms of explaining, I think I did well. I doubt I had to back down on a single point, whereas often my opponents were forced to hurriedly change the subject. So I'm happy.

By then I had gotten nicely worked out intellectually, which feels pretty good, almost like physically working out. The bad side? My mouth is still a little tired from talking so much. :|

Did the Protestant groups also spend a lot of time arguing among themselves?

'Cause that's also something us Protestants do.

No, I haven't seen many debates on religion going on between the various types of Protestants. I believe at some times in the debate they were divided among each other.

It fits the whole Catholicism vs Protestantism stereotype very well.

E: And yeah, Vorex is right, this could go bad ways fast. Better leave it at that.
