Well, this might be interesting. I really hope Luhrmann uses music from the 1920s in the soundtrack but fear he may prefer pop as he did in Romeo + Juliet.

 

Oh, and Leonardo DiCaprio looks great as Gatsby, but I have to question whether he has the ability to say "old sport" convincingly.

I still can't get over the fact it's in 3D. Of all the movies, you know?

 

That said, Carey Mulligan as Daisy? I'll take it.

They'll do anything to garner a little more interest. Filming it in 3D got us talking, so I guess it's worked.

The previews featured a mix of pop and hip-hop, so it's not out of the question I suppose. Romeo+Juliet, at least, was explicitly anachronistic; I'm not sure if Gatsby was supposed to be like that or if it was just a byproduct of the style.
