I actually couldn't agree more. I also just have an aversion to the Caps Lock because sometimes I forget to press it again to deactivate it

I always use shift, no matter how much I use caps.

I always use my right pinkie finger to hold down shift and let up for punctuation and junk

AND I USE TWO HANDS TO TYPE WHILE DOING IT

I hit it sometimes when I'm trying to hit alt + tab to switch pages. Instead I stay on the same page and then all my letters are CAPs.

Huh. I use my left pinkie finger. Kind of ironic, since that's the finger that could most easily press caps lock.
