Unfortunately the Finding Nemo sequely has been planned for some time now. But yeah, I'm in the 'this movie doesn't need a sequel' camp. Then again, the same could be said for Toy Story and we all know how that series turned out. But then again, we all know how Cars 2 turned out...

I seem to be one of the few people on the internet excited for it..

Mostly because Dory has the potential to be an extremely complex character, more than she is, if she's considered one at all. That one monologue near the end of the movie sold it to me.

While I'd like them to do original stories as much as the next guy, let's not forget that of the sequels they've done, two out of three were unquestionably excellent. I'm going to continue to give them the benefit of the doubt.

After the initial shock and then thinking it over, I'm definitely curious and looking forward to watching it!

Finding Dory? What? I was not expecting that.

 

I hope Disney-Pixar circumvents the possibility of a lot of stale jokes and decides to utilize some solid character development. Dory's a cool character; I'd hate to see her reduced to plain comic relief.

This could either go really well or really terribly.
