I and my siblings were joking about perhaps using "Kevin" since the game always refers to the horse as female, and that way we could reference Up.

 

However, I do prefer something more like an actual horse name. Stuff like Seabiscuit and Overanalyze and Man o' War. I suppose for a Zelda game, it could be something like Royal Messenger or Dawn of a New Day. I suppose I should check the letter limits.

 

EDIT: Well, I've lookied it up, and it looks like eight is the limit, so none of the names we've brought up except Kevin are long enough. Maybe I could shorten Dawn of a New Day to just New Day?

Wow, I'm surprised nobody's commented here with a My Little Pony name yet. You'd think bronies would get on that. If you named your horse Twilight in Twilight Princess, though, it'd certainly make some of the dialogue confusing. Applejack?

 

I believe one of my friends at school back in the day named their horse "No-Name" so they could ride through the desert on a horse with no name.
