Take Chespin, because I'm planning on getting a Fennekin and want an early type advantage. =)

Chespin is soooo adorable. =3

I'm planning on Fennekin, (because Froakie is what even and Chespin just looks like Oshawott), but honestly I'm waiting until we see their evolutions before making any final decisions. You should probably do that too?

That will definitely factor into my decision. Though, I think by now I'm ruling out Fennekin simply because everyone and their dog is going to choose that starter. XD

 

That leaves me with either taking huge pity on Froakie or going with the adorable Chespin (which I think is awesome because he's a chestnut. =3)

I'll be getting Fennekin because of tradition.

 

But Talonflame and Litleo are worrying me with how Fire heavy my team will be... Because I want to train both of them during my playthrough as well.

I'll be choosing Froakie myself, due to my weird pattern with selecting starters.

I don't know about that, everyone I've talked to so far has said they'll choose Froakie or, more commonly, Chespin. But Fennekin should totally be the most popular, because fennecs.

 

I kind of concur with ET that with Talonflame in the team there'll be a bit of overlap, but then, so there'll be with Gogoat/Chespin and Clauncher/Froakie. But who knows? We've barely seen 20 Pokémon so far. There's probably some more awesome ones down the road to take the place of the ones we're imagining so far.

 

 

Though, frankly, in my opinion it's too early to even decide which version to get, seeing as how we still have all of no idea what the differences will be. Other than Xerneas and Yveltal, and I think both of them are awesome, so that doesn't really change anything.

 

 

So yeah! Waiting is my choice.

I always just go with the mascot and Yveltal's so much more awesome than Xerneas, so it was an easy choice for me.

I wanna get a Fennekin but I get the idea everyone else is gonna get one because it's the cutest and coolest of all the starters. How can I say my Pokemon is the best when everyone else has gone and got one?

Yeah, Yveltal's got a really nice design, but something about Xerneas just seems so majestic. Or maybe I just really like the movie Princess Mononoke and think he looks like the forest god. XP

 

Also, @Automaton: How dare you insult Chespin that way! >=/

 

(Though, he is a fennec, so I totally see why you'd think that. =P) Also they did the same thing with legendaries.
