Q for Takumacrafters

Don't get too excited, this is just kind of being thrown out there to see what bites.

Given how outdated the majority of settled land on the server is and how gosh darned far apart everyone's base is (which basically destroys any sort of community feeling we may have left), the question has been asked: What if we reset?

Yes, losing all the awesome stuff we've already built would suck, but it would mean that we can now build closer together without infringing on the land of people who may never return, no having to travel unspeakable distances to get new update features, and a chance to refocus on some thing I've wanted to have available in the past (e.g. Spleef Arenas and such).

This is not a for sure either way. As always, being the sole funder, the decision is ultimately mine, though I'd certainly like to avoid driving you guys away be it through neglect or "destruction of property".

I'd also like to open it up to more people, but first I'd have to go back and figure out who is already on and who I'd like to add. It's been so long since I've spent any real time on Minecraft myself I can't remember. xP Suffice to say though, it would still be a white-list system. I don't want to deal with griefers, bad sports, or other such disruptors any more than you do.

So, yeah or nay?

I vote yes. As long as I get to have a backup of the server map for my own use. =P

YAY. :P

Also MI, I'm honestly surprised you're so excited, considering you've probably put the most work into building crazy huge stuff on the server. XD

I'm in favour of this, since others are, and I admittedly never really did anything truly of use until just recently, and even that was only really a tent. =P

So, yes.

Crud, I wish you had said something a long time ago. They went and changed the server IP on me for the second time and I totally forgot to mention that.

Which would probably have been when it changed the first time. Maybe I somehow forgot to tell you that I figured out what the problem was when I, well, figured it out?

I don't mind a new map but I don't want to lose a lot of items I worked for. Is there any way to keep some?

Another suggestion:

When we reset the server, as many of us as possible should be online and playing for the initial survival co-op/land-staking. It's really the most fun that way IMO.

A backup of the map would be cool.

As would getting the new IP...

I really did make my home stupidly far away, huh? :|

I intentionally went over 10k blocks away from spawn in order to make sure there would be quartz in my patch of the nether. =P Anyway, I haven't put too much time into my base, at least not compared to the others, so I'm fine either way.

Also I was unaware of the IP change that explains why I can't connect.

I vote in favor of this. It'd get me to play on the server a lot more, seeing as I'm horrendously far from anything interesting at the moment.
