So here's the re-written suggestion for the BZPower Mafia Mentoring System. (or BZPMMS xD)

The Mentor
The Mentor is an experienced host or player who helps the host-in-training with running the game topic. Support of the Mentor may include
- Helping set up the scene, roles and assignment of those
- giving feedback on posted scenes and handling of possible problems
- helping enforce the rules in case something goes wrong
- in some cases, post a scene if the host-in-training really can't post it (i.e. being ill or completely caught up in IRL trouble)
The Mentor should be included in all group pms so that they are up-to-date and can help if the Host-in-training goes amiss. It is not, however, the main purpose of the mentor to be the host's backup plan in case they lose interest in the whole thing. They are supposed to help out, support, but of course not completely take over your work.
The Host-In-Training (or H.I.T.)
The H.I.T. is someone willing to host a mafia game but lacking the experience in doing so or simply wishing for some help/mentoring while hosting their first game.
The H.I.T.'s "duties" include
- planning the setting, scenes, roles, number and distribution of them
- posting the rules and seeing that they are being obeyed
- running the game (posting the scenes!)
- organizing group pms (if premier) and making sure players' choices are being made in time
Technically, it's the H.I.T.'s game and should be treated as such. The mentor is supposed to post scenes for them if there is no other way. (So no "It doesn't matter if I don't post the scene because today I'm not feeling like it - my mentor will do it for me, anyway
")
Organization, Suggested Approach
There will be a list of veteran players who are willing to mentor. At the end of one game, it will be decided who is going to host the next one (as it is tradition in the BZPower mafia games). The future H.I.T. then gets directed to the mentor list, where they pm the mentor(s) of their choice.
Mentor and H.I.T. will set up the terms of the game (i.e. there may be a mentor who is willing to provide feedback and support but won't write scenes. It is crucial that you set those things first. Maybe consider as some kind of Meta-rules to prevent drama.

Then the planning of the game starts.
Generally it is suggested to set deadlines for things. Example:
- Roles will have two days (48 hours) to pm their decisions. If they won't do it within that time, either the choice will be made for them or the game simply continues.
- Similarly, the H.I.T. will have two days to post their scenes after the deadline for the roles is over. (or give a good reason for why they can't get it done in time.)
The H.I.T. should already have an idea of what the game will be like, including roles, special powers and similar. (Of course, it also depends on what you agree upon with your mentor. If he's okay with starting from scratch, then it's fine. It's still advised to have a plan of what you're doing.

Games from the mentoring system should include "Mafia 0" in the title for easy identification.
