What About... A D&D RPG

So in Portalfig's blog, a few of us noted how many of us had so many profiles made. After thinking of what to do, a few of us (myself included) wondered if we could have an RPG. So I ask, why not? Of course, I won't be the one to do it, because I don't have the skill necessary. But who knows?

Also, I retook the test again. I only got better stats. Here they are.

Ability Scores:

Strength- 12

Dexterity- 11

Constitution- 11

Intelligence- 14

Wisdom- 14

Charisma- 13

EDIT: Bumped so this doesn't drop off the face of the blogs too soon.

Chances are more than likely that everyone is just going to rig the quiz to get the best stats possible. And more importantly, my sources tell me that they are too many OTC RPGs and not enough RPG players.

And also, I think most of us are just interested in the fad on BZPower, not the actual Dungeons and Dragons Game, which I hope is what D&D stands for.

But, remember man, don't mind me, just remember to Follow Your Arrow wherever it points.

I do think this is a short-term fad; I doubt I'd have enough interest to play in an RPG despite how awesome I think my character would be.

According to an author whom I respect, D&D is evil, kills your morality, and destroys your mind.

I think I will abstain from an RPG on that ground. (I took the quiz for fun, but I can't imagine myself playing a dwarf...)

I would play it - but it probably would just have the stats concept, with us choosing them as we make our RPG characters. (The stats we get from the quiz are nothing like a real game.)

No powers though. That is just way too complex for text based RPG.

Also, it would be best off choosing a certain setting. Dark Suns, Eberron, Forgotten Realms and Points of Light are all good choices.

Why not just have a literal D&D game, for those who are unable to actually assemble people to play because, well, that might be harder to do than for others?

Isn't D&D already an RPG? So we would have an RPG of an RPG. I'm just curious as to how that would play out.

Yo, we heard you liked RPGs so we put RPGs in your RPGs.

(Also, you'll never now until you try.)

Either that or an online d&d game.

Also, if we do 4e, I am soooo doing that robot werewolf zombie vampire character. (Completely possible in the rules - zombie is a PC race, and vampire is a PC class. You can make the zombie be a robot [another PC race], and can apply a special werewolf theme)

This would only be more ridiculous if it could be a ninja or pirate too.

I was thinking an online D&D game, yes. xP 4e might be cool, though, even if we'd have to remake the characters and such that we've chosen. After all, it's but a base to work off of. =P

If we could pull of an online D&D game, that would probably be easier to handle than an TBRPG. I'm sure it's been done before, but I'm not sure if there's anywhere that gives instructions on how to do one.

And you can do that too.

Same thing as above, but hybrid into assassin.

Best game ever.

Ok, so if that's the case, is it legal to start playing D&D within the D&D RPG if it becomes a thing? Or would that just break reality?

I'm not even joking anymore. I would actually learn the rules and play if that was a thing that could happen.

THIS. That would be awesome and wonderful and perfect. And I've wanted to try out a PnP for a while now...

So yeah, this would really be great. :)

A note to everyone: Roll20 is the greatest thing ever.

We could like, actually play D&D over teh interwebs.

I dunno if that is what we are referring to anymore though. xD

I believe that an online D&D game is what we are referring to.

If we get to play over teh interwebz, that would be awesome.

Canis: I think we could be trusted. =P That said; I know a good online dice roller thing straight from Wizards themselves, if anyone doesn't have dice... Which is good for me too, because I don't have dice. =P
