LEGOLAND AND HARRY POTTER WHAAAAAAAA

I was hospitalized at NIH a week ago, and while there my mom told me she was thinking of having us go on a vacation as a family to some theme parks in Florida. I was surprised, but super excited.

A week later, and it looks like we're going to Legoland and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Should be fun. Stuck in a car with my sister for 14 hrs might be tough, but I WILL SURVIVE. I'm scared because we're visiting Legoland on the 31st, and I dunno if they'll have Bonkles in stock then. Because it would be unreal to buy my first Gen 2 BIONICLE from Legoland.

I'm excited about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter after reading the entire series for the first time in May (why, you ask? For a class. Yeah, my classes are THAT cool). Since I know what house I'm in I feel more pumped to go and shell out money on unnecessary things. BECAUSE I'M AN ADULT.

Any of y'all who have gone or live there have any tips? Preferably for Harry Potter since we've been to Legoland in California.

Never been to WWoHP, but for Legoland do make sure to check out the discount shop. You can find some great outdated or damaged box merch there for decent discounts.

Also I don't know if they do the Pirates ski show in the winter but if they do you can't afford to miss it.

Definitely make sure you go to the wand-choosing skit at WWOHP - it's very neat, and if you're lucky you'll be picked from the crowd to receive a free wand as part of the demonstration! Then, make sure you buy yourself a wand, because they're super cool.

I didn't have a chance to do this myself, but try finding yourself a spot in the Three Broomsticks. And the red/blue dragon rollercoaster is pretty fun. The Hogwarts castle ride is really awesome too.

At LEGOLand, make sure you go to all the gift shops. Each one has slightly different merchandise and there's some cool exclusives. When I was there earlier this year I got a cool sign to hang outside my LEGO room that says 'Brick Building in Progress.' As for the rides, they were fun, but nothing super amazing.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter was fun, but not being a big fan of the series I'm sure I didn't appreciate it like some. My advice though would be to get there as early as possible as rush to Gringots first. The line for that ride gets long fast. Also, butterbeer ice cream is delicious. And make sure you take the Hogwarts Express and either: a) enjoy the experience or b) try to figure out how they do all the awesome effects.
