Some Random Star Wars Questions

Toa Smoke Monster

With The Force Awakens coming out in a couple weeks, I thought it would be interesting to ask some Star Wars related questions this time around. And those questions are:

What is your all-time favorite Star Wars movie, and why is it your favorite?

Return of the Jedi, mainly for the whole beginning with Jabba. And although I didn't really like the Ewoks, the Battle of Endor was one of my favorites from the series, after the Battle of Hoth.

It alternates between Revenge of the Sith and The Empire Strikes Back. The first because the battle over Coruscant is awsome (and Palpatine is a cool villain). The second because the Battle of Hoth is awesome.

Revenge of the Sith.

They really hit the mark on perfecting the aesthetics of the prequels while having a story that felt more original-trilogy than prequel. I guess I don't mind the CGI as long as it's done well—and Sith does it better than either of its immediate predecessors.

My favorite movie is The Phantom Menace because Jarjar is the best and most thought provoking character in the entire series.

The Clone Wars movie.

An awesome start to an awesome show, and it brings back so many good memories.

ROTS is a close second, it's easily the most emotional and tragic of the prequels (which isn't saying much) and those Phase II clones, man.

Return of the Jedi. I like happy endings, heroic sacrifices, and cute furry animals.

Also "Luke vs. Jabba the Hut" action sequence was just fantastic.

The Empire Strikes Back.

You're in a world where the first Star Wars movie made you scream with satisfaction and eagerness, and then a sequel?! It was too good to be true. And WHAM, you're facing actual tragedy, defeat after defeat, fight after fight, and an insert of new characters and stunning planets (yes, even Dagobah) with possibly one of the greatest plot twists ever filmed. I don't think anybody saw Empire coming.

Empire. Because hot dang that's how you tell a story.

Kudos.
