Premier Membership Giveaway

Shamiko

So, thanks to the convention circuit, I have a free six-month premier membership. However, I already have Lifetime, so I may as well give it to someone else.

I don't want people just saying "give it to me", though, so to enter, please give me a one paragraph essay about Chrom in the comments below. Winner will be selected randomly, so don't feel pressured to perform here; write whatever Chromes to mind.

(That said, MLA citation is a nice touch.)

Let's say you need to get your essays done by... Saturday the 19th. That seems like enough time.

Happy holidays!

(I also need suggestions for a new member title. I don't want to waste the opportunity, but I also need something as good as "Certified Dinosaur Pedant")

Before the release of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Chrom was a character highly speculated to appear as playable. However, when it came time for series developer Masahiro Sakurai to announce a new representative for the Fire Emblem franchise, he shocked the world by announcing the player avatar Robin as a fighter with Chrom as their final smash. When asked why he decided against including Chrom as a playable fighter, Sakurai responded, "At the end of the day, Chrom would just end up being another plain-old sword-wielder like Marth and Ike. Compared with other characters, he lacks any unique characteristics." (PushDustin, Source Gaming). While Robin has gained great popularity since their reveal, the question remains as to if the game would have been better if Chrom had had his chance that day.

(I've never actually played Awakening, so I had to improvise. And as for a username, how about "The Professor of Chromology"?)

[Let me preface this by saying that I knew, like, nothing about Fire Emblem up until now.]

A prominent character from the Nintendo video game series Fire Emblem, Chrom made his debut in the thirteenth Fire Emblem game, Awakening, in 2012 as one of the game's three main protagonists. He reprises his role as the Prince of Ylisse in the crossover games Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U and Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. Adding to this, he is set to appear in the upcoming crossover Project X Zone 2, along with fellow Fire Emblem character and daughter Lucina. Chrom rides out onto the battlefield as a Lord-class warrior, notably armed with Falchion (a regalia sword treasured by the kingdom of Ylisse). He is widely revered as the Captain of the Shepherds, a strict but righteous guardian of his people. His personality is befitting of a fair and benevolent ruler, someone who is concerned about his people's well-being but ready to make a sacrifice when it is necessary. He is known outside of the game's fiction as one of its most iconic characters.

[Also, I think that "Not-So-Secret Dinosaur' would make quite a dashing Member Title.]
