some art stuffs

Just a bunch of small pictures I sketched up (more or less) recently - hopefully 2016 will finally be the year where I do more concept art-y stuff, because I think it's amazing and I don't want to be the person that can draw only pretty faces. D:

That one's actually pretty nice if you ignore that I messed up the temple-thingie in the background - after all, it looks more like some odd giant tortoise now. Which is okay too, but not what I had originally been going for xD

I'm also still not particularly awesome with markers, though it's getting better.

It's quite interesting to see how the choice of media also affects the art style.

3/2/16? 5/2/16?

Ohh, you Europeans and your date format that actually makes sense.

*Snaps fingers*

... I completely forgot that I left the dates on these. Ah well. ^^"

All hail some odd giant tortoise!

I guess I'll do just that. :D

Well holy heck, this is looking nice. Can't really say much more other than even the odd giant tortoise™ is looking impressive.

You've really come a long way! And I thought you were great before... Congrats!

Are you kidding? Your work with markers is great! Haven't used markers since middle school, but I don't think I could do that without loads of practice first. EDIT: Forgot to mention: the loneliness of the detailed woman in the midst of emptiness in the first picture makes me want to wrap an arm around her. Great job on making me have emotion towards your drawing, doesn't happen often.

Also, be thankful that you are capable of drawing all the time. For some reason, once I graduated high school, I just stopped drawing. I miss doing it, but I have been lacking in drawing inspiration and will for a couple of years now. I am still using the same sketch book I got from a few years ago, making a new doodle every several months. But seeing all of your doodles kind of inspires me. Lets hope it goes into a drawing and its not just wasted. :P

That last one reminds me a bit of the Lego Elves characters. I'd love to see your take on some of their designs!

Hm. Maybe I'll do that someday, but I'd have to actually familiarize myself with the story world first... :S

Thank you! :3 (and again, and again. Really, means a lot to me.)

B-but it's nowhere near perfect. Thanks. :) I only use them from time to time, and mostly on the wrong paper... but practise certainly helps, that's true. ^^

(and thanks, actually glad to hear that.)

Ah! But I'm never really that inspired, either! In fact, on two of three days I'll just sit down and doodle something regardless. 'Just' motivate yourself, and you'll improve. (Seriously, when I studied university I reduced drawing time drastically, and it actually took another year to recover from that.) So yeah. Study from life, or just start doodling and see where it takes you. You can do it! :)
