So if you don't know, Disney is making an animated TV series based on Tangled, set between the original movie and the short Tangled Ever After. It's got a good voice cast (both Mandy Moore and Zachery Levi are back), and the art style looks really nice. But if you've seen the movie, you might notice something... off about this picture.
Why does Rapunzel have hair? Who at Disney approved the show but said, "You know what? Just ignore the ending, it's not important and we need to sell more brushable dolls". Rapunzel losing her hair was the crux of the ending, and if they don't have a good explanation for getting it back (and losing it again before Tangled Ever After), why even make the show in the first place? You might as well just make a Frozen series. It'd be like if at the beginning of Shrek 2, Fiona was human again and nobody mention.
The show could still be good, but that is a big problem they have to get around first. Also I care way too much about children's media.
