They turn what was meant to be one night at your ex-gf's parents' house into 3, and having to overhear on the morning after the third night your ex-gf's mother refer to you (on accident) to your ex-gf as "your boyfrien-- your friend..."

Because after a few months of mostly ignoring each other we became friends again and things have gone mostly smoothly ever since. Even worked out the "you dumped me cruelly because of peer pressure you didn't even agree with, ya jerk" awkwardness. I had no spring break plans and she invited me so... I went. Again, the original plan was one night. Not three ._.

 

Luckily I'd only packed clothes for three nights and thus had a good excuse to escape. Needed another pair of shoes too: didn't anticipate the trip to a lake where I'd end up having to wear my shoes...while walking through water...
