Maybe Alola is split up into a series of small islands like the Sevii Islands but on a larger scale?

But yeah Rowlet is already the best choice. 

 

What I'm wondering is whether or not they can squeeze the Soar mechanic into the game.

Alola -has- to be split, or there's not gonna be enough cities to go around; I only count 4 cities total, and even then... =/

Multiple islands would make sense for a Hawaii region, though even then it's curious that the first image we get of the region isn't a full map.  Then again, Game Freak's been rather unpredictable lately.

I've waited since gen III for soaring and to only have it in one game would be extremely disappointing.

Well, Gamefreak doesn't usually give us the -full- map of any region to start with. ^^' And they've been rather secretive over this game, so I have a bet that it's gonna be hidden in some way or another for a while ^^

also i really do hope Alola is split into multiple islands...and i also read it as "Aloha" at first.

For once I may be torn between starters...

I'm just gonna do what I always do and pick the water type starter.

Rowlet is best birb and... I'm sorry, but goth kitty and doofus sea lion are gonna have to fall to the wayside for me. If I end up getting Sun and Moon (unlikely), probably gonna go with Rowlet/Sun, Litten/Moon. Otherwise, Rowlet/Sun for me unless there are some really cool version exclusives for Moon (I definitely prefer Sun's legendary for some reason.)
