Which myth would you bring to life?

Here's a question:

"Which myth would you bring to life?"

I think it's an interesting concept. There's various myths and folklore that tell some interesting stories or result in some interesting events or creatures. From some mythical creatures such as Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster to mythical locations such as Atlantis or El Dorado. There's various types of myths or folklore which would seem interesting to bring to life.

I think for me I'd probably pick the tales of King Arthur. I think the events of it seem interesting to me and I'd love for them to be true.

What about you?

Which myth would you bring to life?

Atlantis is totally real, it's just in another galaxy.

:kaukau: The ancient prophecy that Michael Phelps would come out of retirement and get a half-dozen more gold medals.

Also, the mythology behind Superman.

Hmm... if I said Giselle, then there would be spirits that dance people to death.

If I said Copellia then dark magic that steals people's souls would exist.

If I went with Swan Lake, there's a pretty big bad that would be unleashed upon the world.

If I said Princess Tutu, it would be all of the above and more.

Um... idk. Most myths kinda have a backlash to them that would revolutionize the way we perceive reality.

Read The Winter King by Bernard Cornwell. Closest thing you'll have to your dream Soran. Let me tell you, that Post-Roman Britain is not a romantic place, as Derfel Canarc can back up. :P

Honestly, i don't want any fantasy myth to come true. Hmm, on second thought, maybe Tolkien's mythopoeia. At least then i could say that we are currently in the 6th Age of Arda. :P All the content of his works would be ancient history, only thing to worry about is the escape of Morgoth Bauglir and his final war of darkness against Eru Illuvatar at the End of Days, and as a Christian i already believe something is going to happen at the end of days. :P

El Dorado so I could find it and lay claim to its riches.

El Dorado is/was(?) a big golden idol. Do you refer to this, or the legendary 7 Cities of Gold in Arizona? That great animated movie combined the two. I wouldn't mind if the 7 cities popped up as i live in Arizona, it'd certainly boost our economy, but i wouldn't want them to always be here as the many native nations here would have been exterminated like in the California Gold Rush.
