It's official, everyone. New Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Go! B-)

 

Later this week, over 80 Gen 2 Pokemon will become available to catch in the game. The baby Pokemon of Gen 2 have already been available to be caught from catching eggs. But these will be catchable by throwing Pokeballs at them.

 

There will also be new berries as well as items that help to evolve certain Pokemon. I don't know much about them as of this entry, but more info will probably be released for them soon.

 

I've been waiting for this announcement for a long time. I still play Pokemon Go on a daily basis. Not to the extent that I did a few months ago, but I play it enough to get the daily bonuses. This, however, will most likely give me a reason to play it a lot more, and I can't wait to get back on the hunt for catching new Pokemon. B-)

I'm excited. I haven't been playing as regularly as I used to (in part due to being back at college, having responsibilities, the weather being colder, and not being within reasonable walking distance of many Pokéstops), but still pull it out every now and then.

Huh, I juuuuuust finished getting all the candy I need to evolve the last of the Gen 1 Pokémon I need. Guess I won't quit the game after all.

Ugh! We inhabit the same region and there's still like 20 pokemon I've never even seen silhouettes for, let alone evolve! I see Dragonites all over Portland but I've only ever seen one Dragonair (and that was in Seattle!) and I've only hatched my single Dratini! Not to mention never seeing Muk, etc. Heck, I just caught my first Snorlax a week or so ago! I play every day!
