So today is the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. It was on this day, back in 1977, that the first Star Wars film came out, giving the world one of the best sci-fi movies ever made.

 

And since then, we've gotten seven more Star Wars film with more on the way, comics, books, video games, multiple TV shows, and tons of merchandise. (Many of it being Lego sets. :) ) While the quality of these things depends on the person, there's no argument that Star Wars holds a special place in many people's hearts. And with the franchise moving forward, it will no doubt do the same for generations to come.

 

Here's to another 40 years of Star Wars! B-)

Books: "Heir to the Empire" - Timothy Zahn, "City of the Dead" - John Whitman

 

TV Show: "Clone Wars (2003)", "The Clone Wars (2008)", "Rebels"

 

Comics: "Star Wars: Lando: Parts 1-5"

 

Video Games: "Battlefront 2", "Empire at War"

 

Merchandise: "Star Wars: Epic Duels Game", any of those toy lightsabers I had back when I was kid.
