Eagle Scout Court Of Honor!

Wow, haven't had a Boy Scout entry in a while....

Anyway, my Eagle Scout Court of Honor was Sunday.

I came in looking like this.

And I came out like this:

My mom made the cake.

I also displayed all my patches (well, most of them).

There may, at some point in time, be more pix in the Maj folder.

Quote of the Day: At Philmont, watch out for the double-decker latrine.

Ha, I got two cakes! Although I had to share it with the other two scouts too... and I had to clean up before I could enjoy cake. And the cake was just store bought... hmm.

*Looks at badges* Jamboree, Philmont, lots of places, OA (you made Brotherhood! Nice) That's a lot more than me, but I did join scouts at a late date and didn't go earn an exceptional number of badges. I notice for your physical eagle required badge, you got swimming, like the majority in my troop. (When I left, I was the only one to get Hiking, which I am proud of, and I think only a few, if that, ever got Cycling. Swimming is just the easier of the three) I also don't see any giant 50 Miler badges... they are ridiculously large, and thus easy to spot.

Congratulations, I guess you are now officially an Eagle scout. Now you are obliged to always be a good person. :P

(In case you weren't already)\

Ah, geez, gratz man!

You now have to be a nice citizen who helps old ladies across the street, or else you will not get a retirement pension. :P

This cake was 24 X 18 inches. And my mom has the best frosting. (Store bought cake frosting is eww.)

I should have the 50 Miler award, but my Crew Leader/ASPL was too lazy to get it to us at the Court of Honor immediately following Philmont. I should be getting it in June, finally.

The Biking merit badge would have been fun to get.

Thanks everybody!

*is working on his Cycling badge* All I need for Eagle, and the project, which has a lot if red tape atm. -.-

Ooh, I recall seeing those patches at World last year-- they were rare, and many BSA members who were also Star Wars geeks were trying to get them, cuz there was a Would troop with SW patches, too. I have one Yoda patch from them, but could not get the Darth vader or Butterfly patches due to a lack of patches to trade. D= (Mom left many of my trading patches at home for some odd reason :( )

But those Sea Scout ship staffer patches... *wants*

I'll race you in the mile swim :P

congratulations

you never got Biking? that was like, one of my first merit badges.

Good to see you choose lifesaving, far more hardcore than Emergency Prep.

Thanks.

I actually got both Lifesaving and Emergency Prep. First was E Prep so I could get some special Jamboree patch, then I got Lifesaving because I thought it'd be a good badge to earn.

I like the "hungry" on the cake.

Thanks!

It's a little inside joke I made up, and my troop follows. We've added a thirteenth point to the Scout Law.

I have heard of this law too. Must be common practice.
