Which Gaming System Owns?

Turakii #1 Lavasurfer

Which platform gaming system, in your opinion, owns? Owns beyond all doubt? Owns more than Akamai and Wairuha combined?

See, Traku is thinking of possibly purchasing the one that wins out. He also wanted me to mention that he'd prefer the cost of the gaming system to be below a million thousand dollars.

The Wii. You're not gonna find anything with as much child-friendly games as it does. (It's also gonna have the Force-Unleashed on it! :br:)

Wii/DS

No argument is required for the sane, but for the less sane, I will give a few titles:

Smash Bros Brawl.

Metroid Prime: Corruption

LoZ: Twilight Princess

The World Ends With You

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (1, 2, and 3)

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin

Seriously, it's got the original motion-sensitive controller; Sony and Microsoft cheaply imitated them afterwards.

Yuh, no. Motion-sensitive controllers were around much earlier, then Nintendo uses it and all of a sudden it's like they invented it.

The Wii made the motion-control games mainstream. Ever seen the "original" motion-sensitive ones? They play like the NES. >_<

well, the only gaming console i have real experience with is a computer. i'ved played Wii, and Xbox, 360, and PS2.

i like the PS2 and Wii the best. Wii because you get exercise, PS2 because there currently more games that are nice and challenging even if it's "outdated". PC games are way too easy.

so for me, it's a tie between a Wii and a PS2. but hey, the choices are narrowed...

That'll be on just about everything, not just the Wii. ;)

=OOO WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK ME!??! =P

Buy. A. Wii. So many awesome games, and so many awesome games yet to come! Oh, and if Traku has some money left over after buying the console and accessories he needs, a DS is fun too. =)

Oh, also...

That'll be on just about everything, not just the Wii. ;)

Yeah, true, but the gaming experience will be vastly different on each console. I prefer the Wii version for its motion capabilities mostly, but also the other differences.

Yeah, since I only have a PS2 I'm stuck with (relatively) bad graphics engines. :(

Find out the pros and cons of each system from a nonbiased source, and choose your pick.

Although I prefer the Wii myself, it's all about your tastes. Most of my friends have Wii, a bunch have 360 or going to get one, and I think only one person in my class has the PS3... along with the 360 and Wii. He says he likes the PS3 the best, making me think the PS3 is really underrated.

Wii is really overrated, but it's my favourite.

Nothing is better than the Xbox 360. You've got the best graphics, the widest selection of games, the coolest look, plus, you get to show off how great you are to other people with your own personal gamerscore, gamercard, gamertag, game zone, etc. Plus, don't forget being able to download new maps, levels, vehicles, songs, etc. for just about any game you own. You can download fun game demos for free, too. Unlocking achievements makes you feel good.

It's pretty cheap, and I believe has sold more units than the Wii.

Also, most games can be played in HD, up to 1080p or 1080i. You can also download HD movies and trailers...

It's too much fun. You can discover the rest for yourself, Traku.

Also, the Xbox 360 that comes with an HD-DVD player comes packaged with King Kong (2005, HD) as well as the FREE games Forza Motorsport 2 and Marvel Untimate Alliance, neither of which are very exciting, but at least they're free!

I think I've made my point.

But you left out the fact that it's made by Microsoft and the RED RINGS O DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! :P

Xbox360.

It owns.

True, but the wii owns more.

360: $300+

Wii: $250

Choosing Nintendo over Microsoft and saving $50+ (not to mention all the extra hardrives because of the firey ring of doom): Priceless

Besides, I think the Wii is more Turakii's style.

I'd recommened the 360 for the hard core gamer, as it is THE system for like everything a hard core gamer plays.

Features:

-Awesome graphics and physics for pretty much every game sold

-HD capability that goes so far even some early titles show the outlines of the 3D models

-Surroundsound that's completely awesome you'll think you're really there

-Plays most original Xbox titles

-It has like thwe best title ever! HALO 3!!!!!!!!!!

Ranges from around $300-$600.

I'd recommened a PS3 if you want awesome graphics (a little better than the 360 can reach) and if they love the classic Sony system style and games.

Features:

-Next gen graphics that go beyond the capability of any other system to date

-Great surroundsound capability, pretty much the same as the 360, I don't think there's a differance.

-Depending on which version you get can play most PS1 games and all PS2 games

-Has game titles that should bring back good old PS1 memories

40GB plays PS3 games and PS1 games, but no PS2 games

60GB plays PS1 games, some PS2 games, and PS1 games

80GB or higher plays almost all Playstation games ever

Ranges from around $300-$600.

I'd recommened the Nintendo Wii for the Nintendo fan who loves the Nintendo titles, and wants Nintendo only games

Features:

-Awesome graphics that go somewhere in the range between the 360 and PS3

-Great surround sound, probably not any differant from the 360 or PS3

-Plays Game Cube games and is compatible with Game Cube controlers

-Great exclusive titles than any other system has (aside from the amount that the Halo series sold for Xbox)

-You can download original Nintendo titles from the NES, SNES, N64 and more!

-Interact with your games with new next technology with the Wii remote, yogo mat, and more!

There's only one version of the Wii and it is priced at an average of $300 making it the most affordable and possibly smartest one to buy if you aren't too picky on what games you play or your controler style.

Hope this helped. :D

The Wii, no questions asked.

Seriously, it's got the original motion-sensitive controller; Sony and Microsoft cheaply imitated them afterwards. It's sort of cuteish, appealing to all ages, and the ability to download old NES, SNES, N64 and Sega titles is WIN, assuming what you want is there already.

Then there are the games. With such games as Super Mario Galaxy, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, that Metroid game, Twilight Princess, Pokémon Battle Revolution, (insert Kirby game here), and the crowning Super Smash Bros Brawl, there is no contest. :D

That, and Ike runs rings around the mascots of the others. AETHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

I say Wii. Wii. Wii. Wii.

Now, time for some more Brawl...

Yeah. All that. And, did I mention:

[not_flame]Red rings only happen if you forget to turn off the 360. And why does everybody hate Microsoft?

Your Wii has motion sensor controls, yipee. But the games aren't for gamers, and the graphics are for 3 year olds. PS3's game selections is MSG4 and that's about. Grow up and start your gaming with the Xbox 360.

Also, Konta, the Wii is only $250 if you get the version that comes with the Wii and a controller. The one that comes with the Wii, two controllers, Wii Sports and other free games costs a lot more than $350.[/not_flame]

Seeing as I own but only a computer and a few obsolete handhelds, yet have played a Wii, I am tempted to say the Wii owns all.

No, I do not have a PS1, PS2. PS3, PSP, Wii, Gamecube, 64, Atari, X-Box, X-Box 360, X-Box Live, X-Box 360 Live, DS, Game Boy Micro, nor even a PDA.

I hate being POOOOOOOOR. D=

I am going to have to go with the Xbox 360. Largest and best (in my opinion) selection of games out of the three recent systems yet costs little more than the Wii with far superior hardware, although less innovative. It has it's flaws with the red righ of death for those gamers who insist on playing video games nonstop for several days. :P And it still costs quite a bit less than the PS3 based on the PS3's highly superior quality which game developers have no clue how to use rendering the extra bits as rather unnecessary. That, and Halo 3's on the 360. :P

Xbox 360. (It has Halo 3 :P) But still 360 is the best console I've ever used.

Oh, and...
