Your problem is in the spelling: it's résumé, not resume.

I did list being on staff of BZP once, in a very discreet fashion, for a job that had nothing to do with my degree. Being as I've gradjitated frum kawllij and all, it has no place on my professional résumé. No offense to the site at all, just that it's out of place.

First of all, I’d like to complain about the word “Resume”. It sounds like “re- soom”. But it’s really “res- eh- mey”. Or something like that. Anyway, it doesn’t sound like it’s spelled. That wouldn’t bother me so much except that whenever I mis-say it, somebody has to scold me! ARRGG!

Why can't we just resume pronouncing it "reh-ZOOM"? That would make things so much easier...(Yeah, that was a dumb pun.)

 

Anyway, I’m at the point where I’m just starting on my resume. Turns out I have a pretty boring life, and one of my main accomplishments is becoming an OBZPC here on BZP. I’m pretty sure that’s not something that an employer would be interested in, but whatever.

Just list all the things you had to do to get your rank, and mention you've had lots of experience with computers. That might help.

 

So my question to you (yes, you, the person who’s reading this! If you’ve gotten this far, then you can’t deny that I’m addressing you!!) is, would you put anything special you did on BZP on your resume? Like if you won a contest, if you were a staff member, or something along those lines.

Haven't got that far yet, but if I were still as devoted to BZP then as I am now, I probably would.

 

Anyway, if I put down too much, all it would say to my would-be employer is that “I spent all my time on BZP, so if you want me to get any work done on a computer with internet access, either get a good firewall or think again”.

Yeah, you pretty much summed up what I would say.

Actually, both pronunciations and spelling are considered correct to use, as per Oxford. A fun fact.
