Smashing
Alright, if you know me, you know I like The Who. One of the things I like about them is the equipment destruction they are(or at least were until Keith died and Pete got arthritis and can't swing it anymore) known for. The sound the guitar makes when you hit it against a stage floor and it begins coming apart, brilliant. Just brilliant. Anyway, before you ask me why I want to smash my guitar if I like it so, not the one I got from my uncle, that one's a personal treasure of mine at the moment, not something I'm going to destroy for a couple minutes of sound and applause. What I was considering was buying a stratocaster copy(Cheap beginner copies of the guitar I play) at every gig where doing so wouldn't lose me money once I get my band together, and switching to and smashing one of them at the end of a show. And before people attack me with a "guilt trip" about smashing a perfectly fine guitar, those things are not fine. They go out of tune in minutes, feel terrible, cut your hand up if you play fast, and just sound subpar, and frankly I don't think anyone should have to start on one of those, let alone play it for anything other than the purpose of not breaking something better.
So, BZP, thoughts on smashing the bargain bin six-strings?
