Windows XP vs. Windows Vista!
There's a long arguement about XP being better than the newest Windows....Windows Vista.
With the obvious much better updates on the new Windows Vista compared to XP, Vista still has some wireless internet issues.
Who will you vote for?

Windows XP: 15
Windows Vista: 4

Vote here in my blog or PM me your vote.
Voting ends Febuary 28th at midnight central time!

XP, it's just... It's faster and less buggy ;)

Speed depends on your PC, my Vista....over a year old....is the fastest PC I've ever owned. :P

Actually, all the extra stuff that Vista has/comes loaded with that it doesn't need/isn't really necessary also slows it down ;)

Just like with XP...you can by a custom one with nothing on it...either that or just reformat it with a generic disc when you get it. :P

XP did the same thing after 2000.

The higher the operating system, the longer it takes to boot up and get going; plus there's the whole needing more memory just to function. Also, I guess even Microsoft doesn't like Vista, since they've released a beta of a newer OS without working out Vista's bugs... it hasn't even been out that long. Of course, Microsoft tends to have a habit of doing that, hence, security holes. -_-

That's why if you want the better operating system, you get the better PC.

But even so...my PC's a cheapper $500 Emachines....runs smoother and starts up faster than almost any PC I know, and the operating system only takes up a gig or so...which is about as much that XP took up on my ol' 3 gig PC.

And Vista also isn't just another XP...it's just plain better.

I remember back when people thought the same about the new XP over the ol' Windows. lol

Vista.

First of all, I have fallen for the shiny design (yah I know, beat me later) and the sidebar.

Secondly: Vista doesn't die on me lie XP did. When a program freezes, it closes the program without me having to reboot the entire darn PC.

I like the simplicity with which I can look around in the system settings.

LOVE the changeable window-designs.

Task manager works always.

Only downside: Long booting time after starting.

XP. Vista has never worked fine with me, and up until recently XP was awesome. It's still awesome, but a pain in somewhere I can't say here.

Frankly I'd just as soon toss both for something UNIX-based though.

Yes, I LOVE the task manager on Vista, there's never been a time I had to re-boot.

Oh, and try getting 2 gigs of memory (RAM) or higher, that solved my long booting problem. :)
