Yes, a relatively near miss. The same meteoroid will intersect our orbit again sometime in the future.

 

I feel like people could be talking about it a little bit more.

It's only categorized as a meteor once it enters Earth's atmosphere. "Meteoroid" is, I think, the correct term for space rocks in space.

 

But really, what is there to talk about? This sort of thing happens on occasion, not even that rarely. Nothing to get worked up over. (Not saying you did - the kittycat would suggest quite the opposite. :D)

So... you feel bored, or tired? And I didn't know that a meteor missed us. When? Where? How? Why?

 

I think people could talking about it more as well. (Or maybe it's 'cuz I'm a nerd.)
