I remember sleeping for the first two days after the operation, and then waking up and wondering what a bloody cotton ball was doing in my mouth.

 

I hope I don't have to have mine taken out.

People make it out to be a lot worse than it actually is. I had a relatively bad experience, but it was only because I reacted badly to the medication. The actual procedure wasn't bad at all. For me, if I hadn't had the weird scenario with the pain medication, the worst part would have been not being able to do ANYTHING active for a few weeks. (It just meant I spent more time on the computer, which meant I actually did stuff on BZP for once. )

Actually, one of the guys I play tennis with is getting his out in a few weeks, and he's looking forward to it. Y'know why? It's the only time he can legally get addicted to Vicoden.

So I guess it's a little late to advise you to drink only pineapple juice for a week in advance...? Worked for me.

Whether you need your wisdom teeth out is purely genetic and has nothing to do with your dental hygiene habits. It has to do with whether the teeth grow at the wrong angle.

My mom still believes that no body part should ever be removed.

 

My wisdom teeth grow straight up, that's good, right?
