It depends on the doseage. But give it a few more days and you'll suddenly find that you actually like taking the pills. They seem to be a bit addicting. Plus it seems cool.

 

Btw. when the doc gave you the narcotics for the surgery, did he knock you out or just did it with your mouth numb?

I was either unconscious or he gave me something that prevented me from remembering the surgery (there is a drug that does that, right? I've heard of it). Also numbed my mouth, judging by how my lips felt afterwards (i.e., uh... numb. XD).

First day since the day you got surgery? 'Cuz that's when the pain kicked in for me too. And silly old me had felt OK enough the day before and the morning of to say "OK, mom, you can go to work today instead of being available in case anything goes haywire".

 

Needless to say, my mouth started bleeding periodically and I went through gauze at an unnatural rate. And oh, the pain...

 

It should get better fairly quickly, though. Just won't be the most pleasant in the meantime.
