If you liked the first Mass Effect, you're going to love Mass Effect 2. They took everything that made the original great, and improved it massively. As well as removed all of the problems that plagued the original.

Looks like a shooter 'cause they don't want to put the lengthy but nevertheless interesting conversations in their 2 minute trailers.

 

The first game is a perfect blend of conversation and 3rd person shooter. Well, maybe not quite perfect. But from reviews, it looks like ME2 fixed all the problems ME1 had (few though they were) and then some.

I cannot wait for Reach. I really hope that it is a lot more specialized units than ODST. It should be how I wanted ODST to be. Different abilities for each character. Faster moving for the lighter dudes, better sniping for the sniper, etc. THAT would be awesome.

Ya, Alenko seemed so boring to me. And me, I had a thing for the alien chick.

 

And I hated two people in the game. The turian council member, and your beloved fan, Conrad.

 

Well, I let the turian have what was coming to him, even if the other council hadn't done anything, but Conrad...

 

It was fun shoving a gun into his face.

I wonder, does Alenko talk to you more if you're a girl? I never got very far in my playthrough as a female.

 

I never really got along with Liara. She seemed like a total stalker.

And I believe Alenko becomes part of the romance sub plot if you're a girl. I wouldn't know since I've only played the game once.
