So, as promised, here is an in-character, photo-accompanied, log of travels from start to somewhere! Apologies about the photo quality for a while, I was still figuring out my phone's camera(Which is actually higher res than my camera...), so I couldn't turn the flash off for a bit, and in a few had to block it with my finger.

Dear log,

Today is the day that I finally got to go and get a Pokemon from Professor Elm! It's a fairly sunny day, though my alarm didn't go off and I overslept. Hopefully he'll still have some left though.

It turns out that he had three left, so I was still able to pick one...

The first was a grass type. I don't think this needs explaining.

The second was a water type, which was tempting, but which just didn't seem that interesting.

The third though...

Was
juuuust
right.

It also likes staring at people's faces. I think that makes some people uncomfortable...either way, at the professor's recommendation, I went to show mom.

I think she likes it...

In return for the free Pokemon, the professor asked me to carry a message up route 31 to a friend of his with the fairly unsubtle nickname Mr. Pokemon. After a fair bit of trekking, I managed to reach his house. There was an old man who stopped me in Cherrygrove though...

He was nice though, even gave me a free pair of running shoes. As long as I was there, I decided to check the Pokemart.

...Which for some reason, doesn't sell Pokeballs. This annoyed me, as I saw a few Pokemon I'd like on the way over. Regardless though, I continued down Route 31, up to Mr. Pokemon's house. Once there, I learned the reason I was sent there was to pick up an egg for Elm. Still no Pokeballs. I also met someone else there...

Professor Oak. Most people who know of Pokemon know of this guy. And for good reason, he's apparently one of if not the most famous authorities on them. He even gave me a Pokedex, too. Yet no Pokeballs. As I was leaving though, I got a call from Professor Elm. Something bad must've happened, as, well, he said such.

On the way back however, I was interrupted by the guy I saw looking in through the window earlier.

I guess he was there to get a Pokemon too, because he had one of the ones the professor was giving away. Either way though, he challenged me, but wasn't too tough fight. I did get a look at his trainer card though. ? odd name that...either way, from there I headed to the lab, where I learned someone broke in. After being accused then proven innocent, I realized that ??? was the culprit, and relayed this to the officer on-scene.

Once he left, I showed professor Elm the Pokedex that Oak had given me. Though he seemed depressed, seeing the device brightened him up. He then suggested that I go to try the Gym Challenge. ...Yet he didn't give me any Pokeballs either. Before heading off to start the Gym Challenge though, again on his advisory, I went to visit my mother.

She's now acting as my banker. But she didn't give me any Pokeballs too. How am I supposed to get this done without any extra Pokemon? Regardless though, time for some rest before heading out.

Yes I'm aware I promised up to the first Gym. But that was a lot more stuff than I thought it'd be. I'll put up part 2 sometime this weekend, so that should have the rest of it.

Little late response; but it is very cool(I have SS too~ =D).

Funny though; the Crime Scene thing very aptly sums up Nintendo's thoughts on Black and White pictures. =P
