The Bastion
I was bored.
My hands bleed from wounds a mile deepSingle-handed determination to crumble a thousand walls
Tear them down brick by jagged brick
I won't stop until I have it all
Stacked thirty thick and sky high
Looming shadows of a battered core
Hollow eyes scour the cracks
Looking for a taste they'll never get
And never want
I've seen it all and I'll say it again
Nobody sees the havoc you've wreaked
Their noses carry the scent you bleed
They long to see you fall to your knees
Stand tall
Walk alone
Step up
Leave nothing in your wake
Bathe in the filth of a thousand lies
Skin like armor, it all falls away
To burn in the fires of a sovereign heart
Nothing can fell the resolute beast
They have nothing on you
They have nothing
