This... Is... A Sunburn!

So yeah, here in Florida we have nice beaches. But along with those come sunburns. I currently have one on my upper back/lower neck. It stings. But I've had worse. Like once, I had almostsecond-degree sunburns. I could barely move, and it hurt. A friend of mine got a bad sunburn once that practically paralyzed him for a few days. I'm glad I don't have skin cancer yet.

But anyways, I wonder how highly concentrated the sun's light has to be to burn the average Caucasian man. And how much higher it has to be for a latino or an African-American. Hmm...

Anyways, that was the section on sunburns. Next random pointless injury subject is...

Stinging animals. They are here too. Jellyfish hurt, along with the wasps, bees, yellow jackets, etc. on land. And believe me, we have plenty of all of them to go around. But at least we have great honey and... uh... some reason to use vinegar (great at washing jellyfish stinging cells off). And believe me, I have experience with most of them. They friggin' hurt.

Next on our list is...

Alligators that go OMNOMNOMNOM and try to eat you. And sharks that do that too. Pro tip: Don't get in the water if you're bleeding or have the smell of blood/raw flesh on you. The results tend to... be a bit disagreeable for your life and quite agreeable with alligator and shark stomachs. And don't kill any fish either. That will have the same effect.

Well, now that this pointless rant about painful things in Florida is over, let's actually do something useful with our lives. Use sunscreen, watch your step, and don't bleed!

You use vinegar (acetic acid), because an acid will neutralise a basic sting like your jellyfish's.

Anyways, Florida's a lot like Australia in some ways. Beaches are nice, but you get burnt easily. And we have crocodiles, which are similar to alligators, no?
