Once again I'd like to welcome everyone, now straight to more business.

The revised thirty-second article proposed by Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar, after brief deliberation with all of the current "C.I.R.C.L.E. Members", hereby propose the administration of the consequence of "Probation" upon "TURAGA" Kohila as a result of his violation of the "C.I.R.C.L.E. Participation Policy".

The status of "Probation" shall result in his votes counting as "3/5" of one tally for a three-month period, furthermore, his power of "Veto" will also be suspended for the first month as well.

Provided that he does not repeat the offense during the three-month period his membership privileges will return to normal at that time.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The yet again revised thirty-fourth article proposed by Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar, after brief deliberation with all of the current "C.I.R.C.L.E. Members", hereby propose the administration of the consequence of "Probation" upon "TOA" Cap'n K as a result of his violation of the "C.I.R.C.L.E. Participation Policy".

The status of "Probation" shall result in his votes counting as "3/5" of one tally for a three-month period, furthermore, all of his subsequent votes shall be nullified until such time as he provides a more thorough rationale for his blatant violation, and thus his membership shall not be counted in the "Voter Turnout Calculations" until the explanation has been given.

Provided that he does not repeat the offense during the three-month period his membership privileges will return to normal at that time.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The yet again revised one-hundredth article proposed by Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar is as follows:

Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar, after brief deliberation with all of the current "C.I.R.C.L.E. Members", hereby propose the administration of the consequence of "Probation" upon "TOA" Tarth as a result of his second violation of the "C.I.R.C.L.E.

The revised one-hundred-eleventh article proposed by Ballom, Kohila, & Toa_Ausar is as follows:

The status of "Probation" shall result in his votes counting as "1/5" of one tally for a three-month period, furthermore, all of his subsequent votes shall be nullified until such time as he provides a more thorough rationale for his blatant violation, and thus his membership shall not be counted in the "Voter Turnout Calculations" until the explanation has been given.

Provided that he does not repeat the offense during the three-month period his membership privileges will return to normal at that time.

Now, feel free to discuss this proposal in this thread and then vote.

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

The two-hundred-thirty-fifth article proposed by Toa_Ausar & Makar is as follows:

All in favor vote "AYE".

All opposed vote "NAY" with an explanation.

And with that said, I open this thread up for discussion on the various articles for the proposed enhancement of our group structure and joint storyline.

Please be sure to vote on all nine articles in this thread.

Also, note that this discussion and the corresponding voting will end at 1200 PST (Noon in the Pacific Time Zone) on Monday, June 7th, 2010 provided that all of the newly nominated C.I.R.C.L.E. members and at least 2/3 of existing C.I.R.C.L.E. members have voted at that point.

Lastly, the C.I.R.C.L.E. members will be notified of the results via the C.I.R.C.L.E. Results Overview & Discussion thread, however, when there are other blog threads where authors can vote on the proposals surrounding the details of C.I.R.C.L.E., that communication will still happen via PM.

Thanks.

Neelh:

Congratulations!

Now I wanted to point out that you and the other nominees may vote on more articles than just yours. It's pretty much a "C.I.R.C.L.E. Tradition" that new nominees be allowed to vote on any of the active threads during their nomination as well, though I should point out that it's a basic rule that we don't allow generic ballots like "I vote such-and-such on all articles", regardless of the thread you're voting in. In other words, please be clear as to how you're voting on each and every article you chose to vote on. ;)

Let me know if there are any questions.

Yo, looks like Zahaki got a spot too! Unless that's a typo for Zahaku. You guys should make your names more different, lol.

Anyway, I am here and vote Aye. I guess I should start writing Prophecy of Destruction again, now that I'm in.

I, like everyone else, have no other input other than to vote AYE on all of the above points. Though I do wonder occasionally at the merits of the activity requirements as opposed to negative aspects, I don't really see any reason to vote nay for any of these.

I suppose I better get comfy here, eh?

I do wonder occasionally at the merits of the activity requirements as opposed to negative aspects.

The merits of membership are a voice and vote in the development of our Joint Fanon Universe. Sadly the "Participation Policy" arose out of necessity as a solution to the following problems:

  • First, several members disappeared for extended periods of time and no one knew where they went, why they were gone, and if they were ever coming back.

Second, voter apathy developed amongst a few other members, despite the fact that it only takes a few minutes every three weeks or so.

Third, the combination of those two events hindered the group's ability to function by limiting the number of available voters and, as such, some of the proposals failed to pass due to insufficient turnout. And so it became the simplest solution, aside from the obvious one, which is to tell another member if you plan to be gone for more than two weeks at a time.

Anyway, glad to have you aboard.

I really just only noticed that half of the C.I.R.C.L.E Members are people who I read their Epics, funny that.

Reading all the votes, and adding my own Aye, I'm guessing that I and, the others are in? If so, I can't wait to work with you all!

AYE to Articles 32a, 34b, 100b, and 111a. I hope they will return soon.

AYE to Articles 235 through 239. I am glad to see some new faces joining our merry band of authors. Well, those that show up at least.

Like I'm one to talk.
