Master Chief. He's got a super durable suit of armor and he's also got super strength.

The answer can vary based on what weapons the other has. If we're going with a normal assault rifle and a normal arm cannon, I still say the Chief, but it gets much more complicated with rockets and such.

I could've sworn someone asked this very question months ago.

I cannot give a fair view of who to vote, seeing as I have played only one series.

I dunno. I imagine Samus' charge beam could pop Master Chief's shields quickly, but at the same time she's just a human, right? Master Chief isn't. He's like super man.

Wrong. She's infused with both Metroid and Chozo DNA.

If we're talking about a fight between the two characters in their most powerful mode, Samus would win in a heartbeat. Besides the fact that she would have fourteen energy tanks to Master Chief's dinky shield, she would also likely have several different types of beam weapons, missiles, missile combos, and Power bombs, not to mention the boost ball, grapple beam, and the X-ray visor (for piercing Master Chiefs camouflage). In contrast, Master Chief would be the exact same power level he is at the begining of a mission, and I seriously don't think even a Gravity Hammer or Spartan laser would be enough to stop a bounty hunters whose taken on enemies way more powerful than her.

Seriously, Master Chief has it easy in his games, period. Samus has had to defeat a giant metroid with a super laser, a huge quadruped robot, a massive space dragon who keeps managing to come back from the dead, an even bigger space dragon that shoots missiles from its belly, just to name a few of her foes. She's also blown up multiple planets while barely escaping with her life, had to fight off hordes of Space pirates by herself, and traveled to a realm where she initially takes damage just by stepping into the atmosphere. And she does it all without feeling like a Mary Sue at all. B)

Actually, by the end of the last game in the timeline (Metroid Fusion), she's not only part Chozo, but also part X-Parasite and (ironically) part Metroid. So, she's really far from being a normal human, as she has the DNA of three other species in her system. :P

I don't know, but I'd say Master Chief. He has the whole USMC backed up, and a Splazer could certainly cut through her armor.

I think it's really funny to ask "who would win?" about two fictional characters who are never going to actually fight each other; and even funnier how much people care about this kind of thing. XP

So do I. Why'd you think I asked? :P

Easy.

Samus fights MC, and it's totally awesome, what with MC using his speed to dodge the scary energy beams and then dual wielding rocket launchers to target her and everything.

Then the covenant show up

then they team up and beat them all!

But it's not so much the armour that's protecting her as it is the whole energy thing that's never been explained. I'd see it as some sort of shield or something. Whatever it is, its capacity exceeds MJOLNIR's shield. And then a 'Splazer' kills Master Chief instantly as well. I's see a charged Plasma Beam somewhere elnear that strength. I mean, that thing vaporizes like everything.

And if you really want to bring the UNSC into this, Samus has the Galactic Federation.

@Sword: Both have single-handedly (to my knowledge for MC) fought their way through hordes of aliens. With both together, the Covenant would be little more than an annoyance.

And while MC is (probably) physically faster, I'd say Samus is more agile. It'd be her doing all the dodging.

lets MC takes out an entire armada bent on exterminating all mankind and destroying the flood and the halo ring in halo 1 at the same time not to mention he does this about 2 more times im wondering who has more accomplishments

Samus has destroyed numerous space pirate bases (including the entire planet of Zebes on her second time there), their homeworld, single-handedly exterminated the Metroids on SR388, the X parasites on the BSL station (and SR388), the ultimate source of Phazon, etc.

Then we have various other things she may have done in her unexplained past.

this ^

Hmm, I wonder what Samus has... Twice this and a lot else. So yeah, Samus definitely. Also, she's a female bounty hunter that has destroyed more planets nearly-single-handed that anyone else I can think of. Oh, and she beat herself, and the other her was like 1,000x as powerful as her in reality. Well, Metroid reality. :P

Anyways, did you really need to even ask Pteridophyta?

Way to be elitist, Nuju. :P

OT, Samus would win. She has several energy tanks, as well as various visors to penetrate camouflage. She can charge powerful beams and unleash rockets.

Yes, but listen.

Samus misses her final smash, turns into Zero Suit and realizes that without her armor, she can't win. Then MC just picks up the flag and one hit-kills her.

Yes, in Halo flags are one hit kills.

Smash Bros. Has absolutely notging to do with this. Think what you say here through seriously, or don't say it at all.

And that's only in the game for gameplay purposes (the flags). We're talking realisticly.
