Master Vahi's Premier Membership went through just a few minutes ago!

Hooray for Master Vahi! _icon_joy_.gif

Yes, I'm really excited for him.

One Thousandth Post, Here I Come!

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 12 2006 · 34 views

LarryBoy: Turakii has encountered potato-dinners today! So, today I'm going to teach you the ins and outs of making perfectly mashed potatoes!

First, if you don't have a potato masher at home, you can just use a bedspring tied to a pogostick. Now grab a potato, drop it in a bowl, and jump on the masher! Mash--and up--and mash--and up--

rolleyes.gif It seems LarryBoy is making dinner for us tonight.

Having already reached "Encountering Protodermis (not potato-dinners)," I'm looking forward to soon reaching my one thousandth post. And I haven't even got my Vahi yet. (I'm looking forward to that, too, but there's no way to speed it up. Time plods on, despite our calls.)

Any suggestions on how I could celebrate? I'm open for them.

DudeNuva became a Premier Member today! Congratulations, DN! _icon_joy_.gif

Hopefully, Master Vahi will become one today as well, or at least by tomorrow. Then he might get a blog, too. biggrin.gif

I have a new story up, Gali Indecision. DudeNuva proofread it for me. Thanks, DudeNuva!

I'm learning three quarter time on the keyboard. It's what my sister calls "Waltz time." One-two-three one-two-three one-two-three...

Fun, yes, just so long as I use three quarter time, and not four.

LarryBoy was nice enough to let me put up a picture of myself. Below his, of course. rolleyes.gif I should post it in General Artwork someday.

And I can't think of anything else to say (did I just hear a "hooray"?), so I'm done.

LarryBoy: Au revoir, mon amies!

Languages And The Like.

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 11 2006 · 21 views

LarryBoy: Hola, amigos. No es triste? Larryboy bailar como Turakii. (Hello, friends. Isn't it sad? LarryBoy dances like Turakii.) I think that's what I just said in Spanish...

Me: It's the law that my siblings and I take two years of foreign languages. We're going to be learning Spanish. We actually haven't learned it yet, but we've memorized the lyrics to Veggietales' Dance of the Cucumber, so we can make people think we know more than we do.

My friend was impressed when I told her to name her American Idol character, "Escuchen (escushen?) ElNino." (Listen to the boy. At least, I hope that's what it means. laugh.gif )

Something you should never use to learn another language is Babelfish. If you translate English to Spanish and back again, it turns some words into completely unrelated words, which change your meaning entirely. Tacku Nuva had a comedy where he used a translator to change some of his characters' speech to different languages. He gave translations, but I got curious and tried translating them back to English through Babelfish. Some of them turned out very odd. blink.gif

I'm off to answer my PMs and shower now (but not at the same time), so bye! (This was a short entry.)

LarryBoy: Adios, amigos!

The Sky Is Blue? O.o I Didn't Know That.

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 10 2006 · 40 views

I thought it was always white with snow pouring down.

What are you looking at me like that for? blink.gif

LarryBoy is still recovering from his incident with Matau (and happily watching LarryBoy and the Rumor Weed, starring you-know-who), so I'm free to write whatever I want. Yay.

My mom captured the LarryBoy theme song from the aforementioned video, using some of her handy video-capturing software, and we've been watching the theme song video over and over on our computers. Problem is, after you've heard it enough times, you find yourself singing, "Groove it, Larry!" anytime, anyplace. But at least I like the song. Unlike poor Takuna Nuva, whose sisters memorized it. laugh.gif

I've recently discovered that Lewa's axe is very handy for using to hang him from the handle of a ceiling fan. It's really funny when someone does that and forgets he's there, and then walks into him in the dark. And then he falls and lands on that someone's foot. And then that someone steps on him with their bare foot...

Of course, stepping on Bionicles (or any Lego in particular) in the dark can happen without having had them previously hanging from a ceiling fan. It is probably one of the most painful experiences known to man. annoyed2.gif

Today I drew a nice little picture of my character, Turakii. Speaking of which, I forgot to scan him. I'll do that now. Thanks for reminding me.

I'm trying to put together a page with all the Veggietales lyrics there is. Are. But anyways, although I have a lot of them, I've finally run out of lyrics to put up. If anyone has an abundance of Veggie lyrics, and wouldn't mind PMing them to me, please do so. (I really want the lyrics to the SUV song.)

Well, I've been online for quite a while now, so I'll leave this Land of Blogginess and come back tomorrow or so. Bye.

LarryBoy: Hello, Citizens! Are you ready to successfully buy, for less than five dollars, over two million--

I'm done.

LarryBoy: What?

The blogging. I'm done for today.

LarryBoy: Oh.

Well, how am I supposed to get rid of all these--

*Sigh.* Okay, okay, I'm coming. Bye again, guys. laugh.gif

On The Subject Of Real Estate

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 09 2006 · 26 views

LarryBoy: Hey kids! Are you ready to make millions in real estate with no money down? I know I am---

Matau: Move aside, plunger-ears! Let a real Toa-hero teach-instruct!

LarryBoy: Yeah, but I bought a whole chocolate factory with no money down!

Matau: blink.gif

Thanks a lot, Beamie. You've started a fad. laugh.gif

Before I begin this entry, I'll reply to the replies from the last entry. Thanks lots to all of you who took the trouble to post here. happy.gif

Air-Master: You're homeschooled, too? Ooh, cool! biggrin.gif

What kind of guitar do you play? Normal guitar? (I'm so technical. laugh.gif )

Yep, I drew that. Took about half an hour to shade.

Tomiku: What's even more annoying is when you discover you've been playing it with the wrong keys/valves for a whole week, so you've memorized it that way. blush.gif

And you've been homeschooled, too? I didn't know that!

I knew The Fight was weird before you didn't post. laugh.gif

How about a cotton swab, once you take those headphones off?

Chriskopaka: You too!?

Maybe someone should make a homeshoolers' topic or something. I had no idea there was so many!

Kopaka's Ice Engineering: That's a really neat name.

We need a musician's topic, too. Then we could all get together and talk about...music, I guess.

angry nidhiki: And Lady Kopaka!? I had no clue.

Actually, it's only in the case of cats (and not wah brass) that sitting on the keys counts as playing.

May I ask why you have stuffed poor Beliwa in your post? laugh.gif

---

Okay, on to blogging.

I've made a couple folders of my Veggietales banners and avatars which anyone can use, if they care. If not...don't, I guess. tongue.gif

I believe Lady Kopaka is going to be getting home soon, but I'm not certain. I'm looking forward to her getting back to BZP (who isn't?). If anyone can fill me in here, I'd be grateful.

Today was marshmallow fluff day. That means my family had fluffernutters for lunch, which are about the best kind of sandwich ever. (I eat the fluff off the knife.) The only member I know who likes marshmallow fluff about as much is Master Vahi. He eats it off the knife, too. laugh.gif

I don't have anything much left to say, so I'll inform you of the best word in the world. Bamboo. Try saying it really fast three times. It's so much fun to say.

Bamboo-bamboo-bamboo.

LarryBoy: TURAKIII!

I have to go get LarryBoy's ear unstuck from Matau's mask now, so I guess I'm signing off. Bye for now. happy.gif

Music Works Best Without Earplugs

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 08 2006 · 26 views

LarryBoy: Hey kids! Are you ready to listen to the hottest new music on the Internet? I know I am!

Now, the first thing you need to do is put a pair of headphones on your ears. It's a good idea not to be wearing earplugs, earmuffs, or bunny ears at this point. Also, always make sure you don't have slushy or peanut butter on your headphones before you put them on.

Now, we just slip them on and, and click on...I can't reach the mouse. This wire's too short. Here, I'll take off my headphones and then...and then...help! They're stuck to my super-suction ears! *Yanks at headphones.* TURAKIIII!

Here we go again...

Today wasn't the most exciting day of my life. I woke up. Ate breakfast. Did my chores and schoolwork. (I love being homeschooled. I don't think there are too many other homeschoolers on here, though.)

My sister and I were fooling around on the Keyboard (the one you play) after our lessons, and found this weird instrument setting called "wah brass." It sounds like singing cats. Really. blink.gif Imagine the C Major scale being sung by your favorite kitty, and you know what a wah brass sounds like.

Instruments are a lot of fun, except when you're halfway through a song and realize you've got your fingers on the wrong keys. annoyed2.gif

Any other instrument-players out there?

I wrote a new comedy today, The Fight. It's a one-post. I was bored when I wrote it, so I'm warning you, it's kind of weird.

I can't think of anything else to say, so I'm signing off now.

LarryBoy: Bye now, Citizens! happy.gif

LarryBoy, please, don't stand on my desk...

Hey Kids! It's Larry!

Posted by Turakii #1 Lavasurfer , Jun 07 2006 · 28 views

LarryBoy: Hey kids! Welcome to Turakii's first workout video! Are you ready to sweat? I know I am!

Now, if you don't have a trampoline at home, you can just use a couple of slinkies and an old rug. Now what we're going to do is spring...and jump...and spring...and jump...and spring--oh my!--and jump--oh dear!--and spring--I'm going too high!--and...oof!

Ow. My plunger ear is stuck to the ceiling. *Pulls.* TURAKIIII!

Me: LarryBoy seems to think this blog belongs to him, and him alone. rolleyes.gif But, while he's trying to get himself off the ceiling, I'm going to take advantage of it and write. Heh heh.

So, where to begin. Let's start with the Art Contest. That's interesting.

It took several days, but I finally made a poster for the Art Contest. Several of my other tries were good, but I just couldn't get the drawings to turn out right. (Vakama wants you...to make muffins!)

Now, though, we have our soon-to-be-famous Becomer a Plumber. I told Lewa again and again to leave the sweets alone, but he wouldn't listen, and now look where it's got him. laugh.gif

The thingy he's leaning on is supposed to be a plunger. Hard to tell, since you can only see the top of the handle.

LarryBoy: Hey there, Turakii! I noticed you writing and thought you needed help, so here I am!

I guess that makes this the end of my first blog entry. And my, it was exciting, no?

Bye. happy.gif

LarryBoy: So long for now, Citizens!
