Spinny

I would have preferred if it were a mask that had been around in both 2010 and 2012 sets like Stormer's or Furno's, but in general I'm glad we've moved back to doing things based on the current year. A lot of people want to just use older BIONICLE masks and icons that have not yet been used as spinnies, but I don't feel those have quite the same relevance as spinnies that reflect when they were actually released.

I don't think Tohu's spinny should have changed, personally.

Just thinking, Wouldn't Hydraxons mask be a fair compromise? Wasn't it used as a HF mask as well as BIONICLE?

Because the spinny represents the current year (with the exception of HT being used last year to represent our 10 year anniversary), and BIONICLE is over and done with, and even the serials haven't been updated in more than a year. Ergo, Hero Factory.

No because it isn't from this year, and it would have had to be black anyway.

Tohu's spinny changes like everyone else's when his anniversary changes. I don't think it's possible without massive hacks to get his to stay the same all the time.

I'm apathetic. Maybe I would have preferred a few non-mask icons such as Mata Nui or Makuta stones, but I understand that it's tricky trying to decide what's most appropriate. I look at it and don't necessarily think it's cool, but at least it's gold, which is a fairly traditional color for spinnies.

So I guess it's not something I'm really looking forward to like the Faxxon I'll be getting next year. It's going to be a real bummer after I go from Hapori Tohu to rock guy, though,

He's not a rock guy.... he's a... oh never mind. It's LEGO's fault for not giving him a meaningful name like the other heroes.

You're right actually. My response was very harsh. Especially before I even saw the ones that have just come out. They look quite nice
