Tough Choice

You guys, my friends are playing capture the flag tomorrow night. It will be awesome.

Unfortunately, my brother got a ticket to a Mute Math concert (I love the band), but is unable to go. Also tomorrow night. And he's giving me the ticket.

I want to do both a lot. =/

Also an issue is that the only person I know that is going to the concert is one of my brother's friends who I only sort of get along with. The only thing we have in common is ponies (my little). And while that would normally be enough, we are very different otherwise and it's hard to talk to him so I don't know if it would be better to play capture the flag with people I like a lot (we play every now and again so it's not a one time shot) or go see a band I love with a guy I tolerate (and it IS sort of a one time shot).

I've known him for four years. And hung out with him a lot. He's not bad, we just think on different wavelengths.

Get your other friends to buy tickets and play capture the flag at the concert!

... or go to the concert. And it doesn't matter if you don't have lots to talk about... it you end up talking a bunch, then it prolly isn't a good concert. ;) (Or talk about the concert / band...)

I'm going to be contrary to what the others are saying. The fact that you are torn between a potentially once in a lifetime concert and simply playing capture the flag says a lot about how you care for your friends. If the awesomeness of this capture the flag match truly rivals that of a Mute Math concert, then by all means hang out with your friends.

Concerts may be rare things, but friends are worth more in the long run.

Well, I didn't exactly lose my friends by skipping on them this once. XP
I will just have to make them play more capture the flag... soon. Shouldn't be too hard, I think it's sort of a monthly tradition now.

The concert was pretty awesome, though, I don't regret it too much. I love the feel of BASS.

To be honest, I'd have gone to the concert myself :P One time shots are hard to pass up.

I just found it interesting that you value your friends enough to bother debating the decision.
