My studio photography final was a group project where we recreated a painting made before 1900 as a single photo. My group chose Diego Velazquez's unfinished painting The Needlewoman.

Having to use Photoshop filters on this in order to get a more painterly look made me cringe.

Doing that like Alexa Meade's work would have solved a lot of my own issues in how this looked, to be honest.

Then again, I thought it would have been really funny if we'd gotten a guy to cross dress for this, but nooooooo. My teammates wouldn't hear of it.
