I finished G Gundam in a week.
Such a great series; it makes me wanna cry.

I think I''l rewatch Megas XLR next, then go through Gundam chronologically, starting with Mobile Suit Gundam.

I'm a big fan of the original, but just so you'll know, if you're expecting another G Gundam, you might be disappointed. Most Gundam shows are realistic political war dramas where people get killed all the time. No "saving the universe with the power of love" here.
That said, they're also the best hard science-fiction shows I've seen, so definitely check them out if you dig that sort of stuff.
