WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - When students at one suburban Philadelphia school work diligently at their desks, they aren't exactly sitting still.
The fifth-graders at Westtown-Thornbury Elementary School learn while bouncing on brightly colored yoga balls.
Teacher Robbi Giuliano has done away with traditional chairs in her West Chester classroom. Instead, children balance themselves on giant rubber spheres also called stability balls.
Giuliano says the added body movement helps students focus better on daily lessons while toning their muscles.
Experts have linked physical activity with better learning. They say the balls are part of a larger movement to modernize schools with equipment including adjustable-height desks and footrests.
Such furniture allows children to naturally fidget without disrupting class.

I got "Watchmen" from my school library today, all I can say about it is I can't put it down. Granted I don't like how they let Comedian join in the Crimebusters when he is nothing but a complete -obscenity-. But yeah I like it. I wonder how Makura will deal with new threat.OTTAWA (Reuters) - Two Canadians died instantly in a freak accident when a car hit a 440-pound (200-kg) black bear and sent the animal flying straight through the windshield of an oncoming vehicle, local media said Wednesday.
The bear's body hit the 25-year-old driver and a 40-year-old man sitting behind her and then shot out of the back window. The bear also died.
The accident happened Monday night in a rural area about 25 miles north of the federal capital Ottawa.
"We don't see (this) often, even if we live in the country. Lots of deer, but collisions with a bear and two people died? That's really rare," local police spokesman Martin Fournel told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.
Collisions between vehicles and animals are common in Canada, which has a healthy population of large wild animals such as moose and deer.

Dear Lord, I visit Star Wars The Old Republic and now that ad is everywhere on BZP. Also there is an ad for a website for blogs except it's in Spanish, I can only make out about half of it. Don't how that ended up here.
