I'm not terribly familiar with the Half-Life series, can somebody explain to me why this is such a big deal?
Aside from how much the first game is loved, Black Mesa is notorious for how long it has taken to complete. Several times it was assumed to be cancelled simply because of lack of updates and such. It basically became HL2: Episode 3's twin sister.
The difference here being that, suddenly out of nowhere, they're finally gonna release it soon.
