BZP Renaissance

Ah memories
Yeah, so looking at the BZP Scrapbook topic, other members seem interested in this idea.

I want to ask the members here:  Do you think we could organize such a thing?

What do you think a BZP Renaissance would entail?

I was thinking something like bringing back the old memes like "iN yOuR bAsE" and other sig fads like plushies, tuggles, kanoka disc collection banners, etc.  

Let's re-watch some of SPIRIT's old PSA's and old comedies.  XP  This sounds like quite a bit of fun, personally, so if we get enough members to show some love to the old days, who knows?  Maybe this could catch on.

Still, let's not dive right into this.  There are loads and I mean LOADS of old things we could do, so let's brainstorm a bit, eh?

I hope other members are interested in this.  ^^

Premeir Membership Ahoy!

So, I purchased a year's worth of premier membership earlier today.  THE POWER!  I HAS IT!  >=3

I am now one step closer to throwing BZP into a state of confusion, panic and more confusion.  

This is going to be one fun year on BZP.  ^^  

So, uh...  Feel free to ask me for polls and stuffs.  And don't go treating me any different now.  I have been a regular member here for many years and I just figured I should support the site.  This place really does mean a lot to me.  ^^

Look forward to further silliness with a dose of... uh...  non-silliness on a rare occasion.  XP

Mission Aborted

As some of you may already know, Akano, KK and I are currently on a family vacation.  

Here's where I'm at right now:  Currently only our mom and I are awake.  I figure I'll be the first person up normally (I'm the only real morning person in our family).  Unfortunately, my younger sibling genetics are just itching for a practical joke (can't argue with that kind of biology).

So, I'll be looking for a marker.

My question is "What should I draw on Akano and KK's faces?"

With any luck they won't see this entry by the time the deed is done.  XP

Thank you in  advance for this most noble of causes.

Drat... No marker.  I tried my best to get Akano with a G2 pen, but it woke him up when I was writing the F in "Farm Animals" =/

Looks like I'll need to think of other whacky hijinks for this trip.  XP

VA-CA-TION!

It was a long week
So, between working, social life, baking and trying to keep my sanity (hah, sanity) my sleep schedule has been whacked a bit...  It happens.  Hopefully spending some time with my family (I'm coming to get you, Akano >=D) will help with that.  ^^  

Relaxation in the country side surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature...  Can't wait to play my 3DS that I have access to 24/7 for the entirety of next week.  XP  (I kid).

Well, this may be my last blog (or one of my last for a while) as I'm not sure how much longer these perk thingies will last...  Still, I've been considering getting premier status.  Just a year's worth anyway.

Favorite Anime?

Im..., So..., CURIOUS! D=
So, I was recently debating which I liked better:  Princess Tutu or Fullmetal Alchemist.  

It really is a tough call for me because Princess Tutu is right up my alley, however Fullmetal is just pretty wonderful in certain points (and the way Winrey beat Al up with a wrench in Brotherhood was just so much better than what happened in the 2003 version).  

I'm surprised that I never got into Fullmetal before now.  

So, what do you guys nerd-out over?  XP

(Also, I know I hoped to put up a set review this week, but with a whacked out sleep schedule and other obligations and traveling in a few days, it may not happen this week.  =/)

My weakness...

Surprised by the length?  Ugh, why didn't you read the tags?  =/

Yeah, so I have this weakness...  Whenever I get into a story that I'm really interested in (hook, line, sinker...  and it turns out I'm just a rubber boot that got caught on the fishing line.  Trololololol), I just can't stop.  Be it a book, a show, a video game, etc, I just need to finish it.  

Truth be told I only felt that way, really, about Bionicle 2006.  After 2007 I had no further deep desires to see the story end.  Not that I'm badmouthing Bionicle or anything (Well, I badmouth whoever's idea it was to kill Teridax with a giant rock.  All the time, seriously.  XD  It's my favorite joke ever.  XP), but that's just my opinion and I am allowed to have an opinion.  ^^

Anyway...  After a weekend I managed to finish Fullmetal Alchemist (2003), and it's a wonderful show.  ^^ Rough around the edges, granted, but it was still pretty awesome.  I kinda wish I'd gotten into it sooner, actually.  All of the philosophy in there really made me feel nostalgic about when I was around the characters' ages asking the same questions and coming to similar answers.  I bet this show could've helped me out with my weird little thoughts about death and life's cycle.  But enough about my happy, sun shining childhood.  XP

I'm a bit surprised that Brotherhood apparently has fewer episodes.  They really moved things around from the past series based on the first two episodes.  =/  I like a few things so far, but I'm mainly noticing that if I started out watching Brotherhood first I'd be going "WHAT THE PANDA?!" all over the bamboo forest that is Fullmetal Alchemist.  XP  Glad I went with the 2003 version so far.  ^^  I think it covers the main characters' pasts a lot better, personally.  However, I know this series has loads of praise, so I'm actually anticipating quite a bit for the other episodes.  ^^

Fullmetal Alchemist...

So..., Many..., FEELINGS!!! D=
Yeah, so I've watched up to around 12 episodes of the first season now.  After the fourth one (which I thought to be a bit rushed, though the plot had promise), my expectations dropped a bit and I thought maybe the manga would be better as it could flesh out the story.

BUT I WAS SO WRONG!

Great characters (though they really seem older than their ages in the anime...  Well, that's Anime for you, I guess), great stories and really cool use of alchemy.

I'm laughing, I'm crying (seriously, with Mina I was on the verge of tears.  For whatever reason, nothing in fantasy has ever made me shed a tear.  =/) and I'm loving this series so far.  ^^  Glad I gave it a shot.

So, I was on BZP today and I noticed I had new-found powers.  

Something to do with levitation and shooting fire from my fingertips.  After finding this to be quite odd, I then noticed I could start a blog finally.  ^^

Well, I hope to put up a set review in due time here and hopefully you guys will enjoy reading.  ^^

Narrator: And so TP and Jalina enter the Wizard's tent.  There they find all sorts of mystical items.


TP:  Hmm...  Eye of newt, bat wings, I don't even know what this is -holds up glowing green jar labeled "Necklace remover"-  eh, it's probably worthless, -tosses on ground and breaks jar.  The contents ooze into the ground-

Jalina: uh wait - oh okay... what about this? *holds up something that looks like a giant can opener* it looks dangerous D=

TP:  Oooh, let's try it!  8D


Narrator:  -watches intently-


TP: ... Aren't you going to tell us how it turns out?


Narrator:  Nah, i wanna see you guys epically fail on your own.  =3

Jalina: *keeps on searching* Ooooh, cool! *lifts a box makred "cursed armour - don't wear"* *opens box* Ooooh it's dark! And there are skulls on it! 8D

TP:  Ooh, put it on!  I bet you'd look sweet in it!  8D
